The permanent exhibition is curated by the Cultural Department of the Municipality of Garbagnate Milanese and is located in a few restructured rooms at Siolo Farm.
The museum displays tools related to peasant life in Garbagnate and the Alto Milanese area between 1800 and 1900. The permanent exhibition is divided into sections: silkworm breeding, work in the fields, the barn and the courtyard and house, where you can find tools and objects from peasant life. In the section dedicated to the furnaces you will see moulds, bricks and roof tiles. The whole exhibition includes explanations about peasant life and the tools used at the time.
The working environments of some daily life scenes are told by dozens of pencil drawings by local artist Ambrogio Allievi.
